Col Whitehead Cricket Scholarship


  • Academic Grade:Be enrolled in any year of any undergraduate or postgraduate degree at the University of Newcastle. Be a member of, and play cricket with the University of Newcastle Cricket Club. Be enrolled full-time. Demonstrate academic achievement either by an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or equivalent of 75 or higher for commencing students, or a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.0 for continuing students. Demonstrate impact of personal circumstances, such as carer, sole parent, financial hardship, English language difficulty, Indigenous Australian, long term medical condition or effects of abuse, disability, refugee status, regional/remote disadvantage. Not be the recipient of another University of Newcastle donor-funded or sponsored scholarship concurrently.

South Asia Business and Law Scholarships


  • Academic Grade:Be commencing in an eligible program with the Faculty of Business and Law, University of Newcastle, as a new student or via an approved Newcastle International College (NIC) pathway (excluding ELICOS, Non-Award, Masters by Research, PhD programs). Be an international full-fee paying student from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, or Sri Lanka. Be enrolled full-time. Be enrolled on-campus at any University of Newcastle campus in Australia. Not hold another scholarship for the same program of equivalent or more substantial benefit. Meet all of the financial obligations of a full-fee paying international student, including the full tuition fee and other expenses for the purpose of obtaining your student visa, and in the event that eligibility for the scholarship is not maintained.
